Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling based on client preferences and current trends
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs and offering expert advice on hair care and products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure client safety
- Upsell retail hair care products and treatments to enhance client satisfaction and meet sales goals
- Assist at the front desk by scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and managing client records efficiently
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they are satisfied with their service experience
- Stay updated on the latest hair styling techniques, trends, and salon products through ongoing education and training
Experience
- Previous experience in a professional hair salon or barber shop setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and practices within a salon environment
- Ability to perform various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, blow-drying, and special treatments
- Experience in retail sales or upselling products is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Front desk or administrative experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for specific responsibilities
