Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice one day per week.
The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Abeldent and Max Assist as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental terminology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes as a dental receptionist
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Abeldent and Max Assist
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD technology is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in dental assisting is Required
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented setting dedicated to patient care excellence
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
