Bicycle Service Technician (Part-Time / Seasonal)
Prairie Velo is an independent bicycle and mobility retailer in Winnipeg specializing in bicycles, e-bikes, adaptive cycles, cargo bikes, and premium service.
We're looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our team on a part-time basis through the remainder of the cycling season. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and appreciates a friendly, low-drama workplace.
Responsibilities
- Assemble new bicycles and e-bikes
- Perform tune-ups and repairs
- Install accessories and replacement parts
- Diagnose common mechanical issues
- Prepare bikes for customer delivery
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory
- Maintain a clean, professional workshop
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous bicycle mechanic experience or strong mechanical aptitude
- Enjoys solving mechanical problems
- Works independently and pays attention to detail
- Is dependable and organized
- Communicates well with coworkers and customers
- Can safely lift approximately 50 lb
Bonus experience
- Bosch, Shimano, or other e-bike systems
- Suspension service
- Adaptive bicycles or mobility equipment
- Retail bicycle service
