Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop valuable skills, and contribute to the successful completion of construction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience or interest in various aspects of construction work. This position provides hands-on experience across multiple trades and is essential for supporting skilled tradespeople in delivering high-quality results.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and equipment
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople with their tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist with project execution
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks such as concrete pouring and curing
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinet installation
- Support plumbing, electrical work, welding, caulking, painting, restoration, and masonry activities as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and various trade-specific skills such as masonry or carpentry is advantageous
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery safely is desirable
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills across different trades within the construction industry
- Valid <PERSON> license or willingness to obtain one is preferred
