As Avonbank continues to grow, we are seeking an Equipment Installer / Welder / Fabricator with welding experience, strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. This hands-on role involves installing a variety of equipment in new and existing dairy facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Install stabling and a variety of other dairy facility equipment.
- Assist with the installation of Lely robotic milking systems.
- Weld, fit and fabricate steel and stainless-steel materials
- Read measurements, barn plans and installation instructions to complete projects accurately.
- Assist with facility upgrades and equipment integrations
- Attend required technical and safety training to keep skills current
- Work collaboratively with Avonbank team members, contractors and dairy producers
- Follow company safety standards and promote a safe working environment
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship in a fast-paced, hands-on farm environment
Qualifications
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment or dairy facilities is an asset; however, we are prepared to train the right candidate.
- Previous welding, fabrication, construction or equipment installation experience
- MIG and TIG welding experience is considered an asset
- Experience welding food-grade stainless steel is considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to safely use welding, fabrication, construction and installation tools
- Self-motivated, dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in active construction and farm environments
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $52,000–$63,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
- Overtime opportunities when required
