Production Sewer – Costume Design Studio – Dance Barre
We are seeking skilled and motivated Production Sewers to join our Costume Design team at the Dance Barre to create quality dance costumes in Windsor, Ontario.
This is an on-site position working directly within our production studio. You will collaborate closely with the product development and production team in a creative, fast-paced environment focused on quality and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Sew and assemble dance costumes from provided patterns and cut pieces
- Work with stretch fabrics, trims, elastic and specialty costume materials
- Assist with alterations, finishing work, pressing, tagging and quality control
- Follow production timelines and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain an organized and professional workspace
- Support the production process from cutting through final garment assembly
Training & Growth Opportunities
- Training will be provided by the Sewing Production Manager for new techniques, samples and designs.

Qualifications
- Experience using industrial sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Organized, punctual, dependable, and eager to learn
- Experience in costume, dancewear, active wear, bridal, theatrical, or garment production is an asset
Additional Assets
The following experience is considered a strong asset:
- 2D pattern drafting, grading and marker making software
- Adobe Illustrator, Excel
- Creating tech packs for garment production
