The Inside Sales Representative will focus on customer service, communication, order entry, inventory management, and MRP review for new and existing flat-rolled accounts. The ideal candidate will have direct sales and customer service experience in the steel service industry and the ability to develop long-term customer relationships. The candidate should possess industry knowledge and business acumen to help meet sales targets and contribute to our profitable growth. This posting is to fill a vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Inventory control, generate leads, and maintain accounts to achieve and exceed the company’s objectives.
- Respond to all inquiries and promptly provide information regarding order status, deliveries, quality, or other inquiries.
- Develop relationships with customers in Purchasing, Receiving, Quality departments, etc.
- Communicate customer requirements within Nova’s internal production, Shipping, and Quality departments.
- Receive and enter customer orders accurately and efficiently, following company parameters.
- Receive customer forecasts and enter information into Nova’s MRP, ensuring accuracy.
- Lead role in working with an outside sales representative to ensure proper inventory levels – master coils as well as finished goods.
- Identify and resolve issues relating to customer forecasts and mill lead times.
- Act as the liaison between other Nova departments – Purchasing, Scheduling, Shipping, and Finance.
- Develop a strong understanding of the job procedures as well as equipment capabilities.
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations and high customer demands.
- Ability to work with others in a team atmosphere.
- Demonstrates a reliable, dependable work effort and positive work attitude.
Qualifications
- University or college graduate.
- Minimum of 2 years inside sales experience preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in math, with the ability to multiply and divide to ensure orders are accurate.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.

Compensation
- $50,000 - $60,000 annual salary.
