JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking adetail-oriented individual to support the production of high-quality geographicand demographic materials that inform marketing strategies and market analysiswithin the commercial real estate sector.
In this role, youwill collaborate with experienced GIS professionals to assist in the analysisof large geospatial datasets and contribute to the development of data-driveninsights. Under managerial guidance, you will help implement best practices inspatial data management, including metadata standards, data storage andorganization, update strategies, and QA/QC protocols.

This role is idealfor a GIS professional who stays current with emerging GIS trends, AIapplications, data automation, and big data technologies, and who enjoysimproving systems, workflows, and outcomes - not just producing maps.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributes to the creation of map-baseddeliverables using the ESRI suite, including both static (print-ready) maps andinteractive web maps and applications, with a focus on producing visuallycompelling and high-quality outputs.
- Collects, updates, and maintains accurate marketdata, such as the locations of office buildings, shopping centers, andretailers. Proactively researches new data sources and supports data qualityassurance and routine diagnostics.
- Extracts, formats, and transforms demographic andlocation-based data from various databases for integration into mapping tools.Identifies and resolves data issues, and helps streamline data extractionprocesses for efficiency and consistency.
- Engages in ongoing internal training anddevelopment to build proficiency in advanced GIS analysis and tools.
- Collaborates with other GIS professionals tobrainstorm and develop solutions that deliver the best outcomes for clients.
- Supports the maintenance and updating ofgeospatial databases used in commercial real estate analysis, ensuring dataintegrity and relevance.
- Assists in archiving, cataloging, and annotatingdatasets in accordance with departmental standards to support a shared libraryof GIS resources.
- Contributes to defining data field structures andorganizing input data, working alongside GIS team members to ensure clarity andconsistency in data management.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned,contributing to the overall success of the GIS team and its deliverables.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a major or minor inGeography or related field; or Associates Degree or equivalent from two-yearcollege or technical school, with training in GIS technology.
Relevant experience integrating enterprise databases with GIS technology isalso preferred.
Basic programming knowledge is preferred and basic knowledge of working with 3Ddata is also preferred.

Knowledge of GIS terms and definitionsrequired.
Knowledge of CRE preferred and the ability to work with mathematical conceptsand apply operations such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions topractical situations is preferred.
HIGHLY DESIRED / KEY ASSETS
- Strong hands-on experience with FME forenterprise-level data transformation and automation.
- Experience using ArcGIS API for Python toautomate workflows, manage content, and support web GIS operations.
- Solid understanding of big data concepts,scalable data processing, and performance considerations.
- Demonstrated awareness or application ofAI/ML in GIS, spatial analytics, or advanced data processing techniques.
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprisedatabases, data warehouses, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Exposure to 3D data, spatial modeling, oradvanced analytical methods is an asset.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate (CRE)data, metrics, and market analysis strongly preferred.
OTHERSKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong cartographic design sense, spatialawareness, and understanding of visual best practices.
- Ability to interpret and synthesize complexdata, charts, and analytical outputs.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet, presentation,and documentation tools.
- Ability to apply mathematical and statisticalconcepts to analytical tasks.
