About the Position
Currently, our company is actively seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate Accountant. For this role, responsibilities include the following:
- Assisting with full cycle accounting, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, payroll, balance sheet analysis, profit and loss statement analysis, financial statements, and inventory accounting.
- Assisting with other bookkeeping-related duties, including composition of royalty reports, WSIB-related matters, and other duties as required.
- Prepare the financial management of an organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning using variance analysis.
- Analyzing costs and expenses associated with purchasing and inventory of raw materials.
- Maintain the general ledger, for all financial transactions of the organization
- Responsible for managing licenses and royalties associated with intellectual property rights or product sales. This includes tracking royalty payments, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and reconciling royalty accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Must have experience in accounting roles, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software e.g., Account Edge or QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
