Tasks:
- work under minimum direction from the Shop Supervisor.
- correctly identifies components schematics and assembly drawings.
- accurately follows assembly documentation and ensures that specifications are met.
- effectively inspects assemblies visually and can identify non-conformance.
- accurately follows test procedures and ensures that specifications are met.
- uses measuring device accurately.
- perform complicated and diversified work within expected periods of time.
- completes shop records accurately, completely, and on time.
- communicates well with colleagues and the Shop Supervisor.
- handles medium to heavy materials intermittently.
- works safely and be punctual.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned (i.e. shipping, receiving, quality control , etc. as required)
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Mechanically Inclined
- Millwright certification preferred
- Prior experience with Pump Fitting/Assembly an asset
- Interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools
- Understanding of machinery, equipment and material tolerances
- Must have a good attitude, time management skills, problem solving skills, able to take initiative and a commitment to accurately and timely completing tasks.
- Able to fit and complete assemblies
- Required to supply personal hand tools and tool box
Physical requirements:
- Reaction time: the ability to quickly respond to process set ups.
- The ability to exert significant muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to and not exceeding 70 lbs.
- The ability to negotiate different areas of the plant, including climbing stairs / Ladders and moving around barriers.
- The ability to quickly react and move.
