Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Program Leader (BAP) to oversee and facilitate engaging activities for children in our community. The ideal candidate will create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for students, fostering their academic and social development. This role involves working directly with children after school hours, implementing activities, and supporting their overall well-being.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's learning needs.
- Lead engaging group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages children’s participation and confidence.
- Monitor children's behavior to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support each child's individual development plan.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space, ensuring all materials are prepared and accessible.
- Document attendance, progress, and any concerns related to children's well-being.
Qualifications
- Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
- Prior experience in leading group activities or afterschool programs is a plus.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a positive impact on children's lives.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
