Full Time Interim ARISE Teacher

ARISE—Aligning Resilience, Inclusion, Success & Education—is a specialized, student centered program designed to support learners with diverse needs. ARISE empowers students through individualized instruction, and a strengths based approach that fosters resilience, belonging, and meaningful growth.
Position Summary
The ARISE Teacher will design and deliver instruction tailored to students with a wide range of learning profiles. This role requires a professional who is skilled in differentiation, committed to inclusive education, and confident in supporting students who may require intensive intervention, alternative programming, or flexible pathways to success.
Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a dedicated, innovative teacher who believes every student can thrive when given the right environment, relationships, and opportunities. The assignment is for ARISE grades 9 to 12. This position will commence at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year with a potential to extend to a continuous position if the program moves forward.
Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with student learning plans, strengths, and needs.

Implement trauma informed, relationship-based practices that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behavior.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (administration, support staff, specialists, families) to develop and monitor student goals.

Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.

Use data informed strategies to assess progress and adjust instruction.

Integrate social emotional learning, executive functioning skills, into daily routines.

Communicate regularly with families to build strong partnerships and support student success.

Participate in professional learning related to specialized programming, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (required)
-
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility).

Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including behavioral, cognitive, or social-emotional challenges.

Knowledge of differentiated instruction, and inclusive education practices.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and families.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
-
Training or experience in trauma informed practice, mental health supports, or specialized programming in the area of literacy is an asset.
