<Overview>
Join us as an IT Consulting Support specialist for a part-time contract. We are looking for that tech savvy individual who is passionate about helping people. Bring your technical expertise to ensure our client base gets exceptional IT support. This role is a part time contract that will cover our main support phone number. There is opportunity to continue on with our group in the future. You will work on network and IT support tickets for our clients with daily IT issues. You need to live in London or St. Thomas, Ontario. You will have 3 to 4 years experience solving network related support tickets. You will be exceptional at building new relationships with clients including with a sales oriented mind. You understand the importance of having a good tech relationship with clients. This position involves working from home 95% of the time with 5% onsite with clients as required. This means you need a car of your own. <Responsibilities>
- Provide technical support to end-users across various platforms, including Windows ensuring quick resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor computer systems, peripherals, and hardware components to maintain optimal performance and efficiency. This includes supporting smart phones.
- Strong email knowledge is required with Exchange (Microsoft 365); including use of Microsoft Outlook.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems related to LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other networking components.
- Support the maintenance of IT infrastructure by monitoring systems using our RMM software and help desk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues related to computer networking, operating systems and Microsoft 365 problems.
- Communicate clearly over the phone and in written format with users to explain technical solutions effectively while ensuring a positive customer service experience.
<Qualifications>
- Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Strong familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 Office is required.
- Experience supporting computer networks, LAN configurations, VPNs, firewalls, and general IT infrastructure components.
- Proficiency with email protocols and troubleshooting with Outlook, MFA and phones is required.
- Exceptionally friendly patient customer service experience is needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Must have highly organized abilities to ensure all daily tasks are performed and documented.
- Some security software work is preferred with past experience dealing with endpoint software and firewall concepts.
- Excellent documentation skills and english skills are required.
- Working knowledge and experience within the Microsoft 365 universe. NOT just with the Office software but with user administration, Teams, SharePoint, Azure.
Your shifts will be Monday to Friday during the regular working day. Only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
