We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Welder to join our team in Kitimat, BC. This position is open to all applications, with a preference for local candidates. This offers a great opportunity to work on exciting projects in a dynamic industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks as per project specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure weld quality and compliance with codes.
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Journeyman Welding Certification (Red Seal preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Must be a local resident of Northern, BC.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
