Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Winch Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized winch trucks to facilitate the movement and positioning of heavy freight and equipment across various job sites. Responsibilities
- Operate winch trucks safely and efficiently to move heavy freight, machinery, and equipment as directed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the winch truck, ensuring all mechanical systems are functioning properly before each shift.
- Coordinate with team members to plan load movements and ensure proper positioning for transport or installation.
- Use forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed to assist with loading and unloading cargo.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors regarding load status, safety concerns, or operational issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries during operations.
- Complete detailed logs of loads moved, equipment used, and any maintenance or safety checks performed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on winch trucks and related equipment.
- Proven experience in moving heavy freight or equipment in an off highway setting, ability to chain up.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation and freight handling.
- Physical stamina to handle long shifts involving frequent moving, lifting, and standing.
- Must be able to pass pre employment D&A test

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
