An exciting opportunity is available to join the Cochrane Addiction and Mental Health Clinic in an administrative support role. This position reports to the program manager and is supported administratively by the Admin. V position within this portfolio. This position performs secretarial, receptionist/triage, payroll, and administrative support duties involving a high degree of self-initiative, flexibility, decision-making skills, and ability to prioritize activities to meet the diverse needs of the Community Clinic. Teams include Urgent Mental Health Services, Child and Adolescent, Adult, Outreach, Addictions and Geriatric Programs within the Cochrane Addiction and Mental Health, Recovery Alberta portfolio. The work performed is varied, requiring confidentiality, specialized knowledge, an ability to make ongoing adjustments within a complex environment, an ability to meet deadlines, and establishment of protocols and procedures for support services to meet the diverse needs of the community mental health population.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

3 years’ experience supporting mental health services in an admin./secretarial role Training in: Connect Care, NVCI, ACE Modules Must be conscientious, detail oriented, accurate and thorough. Excellent knowledge of computer software packages (Microsoft office/excel). Ability to deal with clients, families, co-workers, and public in efficient, friendly and professional manner. Demonstrate problem-solving skills. Must always exercise tact and judgment. Demonstrates maturity and decorum in day-to-day decision making.
