Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop/Field Labourer to join our team.
We are seeking a reliable Shop Labourer for a temporary 6–8 month position, with the potential to become permanent full-time.
Location: Cochrane or Sundre shop (75%+ in Cochrane) and other customer facilities in the Exshaw - Calgary area as assigned
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. A rotating five-day schedule may include weekends (such as Tuesday–Saturday etc). Field work starts at 7am on location and can include overtime.
For the right candidate, this role may offer an opportunity to begin an apprenticeship in machining, welding, or millwrighting.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with equipment setup, material handling, and site preparation
- Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and organization of tools and materials
- Loading and unloading of supplies and materials
- Cleaning of facilities and equipment
- Operate basic hand tools and assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
- Operate forklift or zoomboom with training if required
Experience
- Previous experience in general labour or construction environments is preferred but not required
- Forklift and/or zoomboom training and experience
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
- Comfortable working outdoors as assigned, in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial or construction sites
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
