Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role is essential in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial data management, and assisting with various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a strong foundation in bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Support payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, and Workday.
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
- Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions and account updates.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with account analysis and budgeting activities to support financial planning.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve bookkeeping procedures and streamline workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos for payroll processing.
- Strong skills in bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Basic understanding of financial services and accounting principles.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail for accurate account analysis and budgeting support.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with account analysis or working within financial software like Workday or PeopleSoft is preferred. This position is paid and provides an excellent platform for career growth within the accounting field by gaining hands-on experience with leading financial systems and processes.
Pay: $36,665.94-$72,230.66 per year
