Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is highly valued, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security protocols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining security standards
- Conduct security checks on equipment, doors, windows, and other points of entry
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or surveillance is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and procedures
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
