Position Overview
Working closely with other members of the housekeeping team, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure our guest rooms are cleaned to the highest standard.
Our Guest Attendants have significant exposure to Evergreen’s on-property management, with the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as they can demonstrate capability for. Over time, there may be opportunities to transfer to other roles or other Evergreen properties, depending on aptitude / interest.
Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional and friendly service
- Clean all assigned guest rooms including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
- Report necessary maintenance deficiencies
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Be flexible to working hours
- Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Note: The position of Guest Attendant is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads.
