Job Overview
We are looking for two motivated and unified Camp Mosquito Bait Workers to join our Children and Family department. This position is designed for individuals who have a dedication to working with youth to create a fun and safe environment of play, learning, and growth. The Camp Mosquito Bait Workers will provide essential support to our team during the day by assisting with youth activities during the day and provide any additional support where needed.
This is a contracted position that runs from June 30, 2026 to July 4, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
• Daytime Activities:
• Assist in daytime activities and helping youth get integrated in the activities.
• Help facilitate any activities where needed.
• Staff and Youth Support:
• Support the Youth Worker in cooking and preparing meals where needed.
• Assisting staff in morning and day protocols such as hygiene, medication administration, and meal time clean up.
• Provide a proper handover to overnight staff during shift change.
• Reporting:
• Report any youth injuries, grievances, or concerns to the Youth Worker.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required, but relevant experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
First Aid Level 1 and Class 5 Drivers Licence not required, but preferred.
Conditions of Employment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check.
Salary: To be determined.
Hours: Up to 50 contracted hours.
Location: Dog Creek & Lac La Hache, British Columbia
