Role Overview
We are adding a skilled, detail-oriented Asphalt Roofing Specialist to our structured 4-man residential crew. Our team focuses on high-end roof replacements, tear-offs, and custom architectural shingle installations built to withstand Western Canadian weather.
We aren't a high-volume "churn and burn" roofing operation. We prioritize worker safety, clean job sites, and uncompromised craftsmanship. If you take pride in straight courses, clean valley work, watertight flashing, and working alongside a respectful crew, this is the environment for you.
Location & Paid Travel Policy
- Regional Hub: Our shop and equipment base is headquartered in Wainwright, AB.
- Service Territory: We service premium residential properties across Lloydminster, Camrose, Vegreville/Fayville, and surrounding regions.
- 100% Paid Travel Time: We respect your time on the road. All transit time driving out from our Wainwright hub to job sites in Lloydminster and the surrounding territory is fully paid at your regular hourly rate. When you are on the move with the crew, you are on the clock.
Compensation & Crew Perks
- Hourly Wage: $28.00 – $34.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)

- The Crew Setup: Work on a professional, well-equipped crew with dedicated ground laborers handling tear-off cleanup and debris management so installers can focus strictly on quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Shingle & Underlayment Installation: Execute clean tear-offs, evaluate deck integrity, and install synthetic underlayments, ice-and-water shields, and architectural asphalt shingles to exact manufacturer specs.
- Flashing & Weatherproofing: Fit drip edges, step flashing, wall flashing, and apply commercial-grade sealants around vents, chimneys, and roof penetrations to guarantee watertight performance.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow provincial OH&S fall-protection standards. Correctly use harnesses, lifelines, and roof anchors on every pitch.
- Site Care & Maintenance: Assist in keeping an organized, hazard-free workplace. We utilize specialized mobile dumping gear and ground protection to leave every homeowner's property spotless.
- Equipment Handling: Safely operate pneumatic coil nailers, air compressors, ladders, and specialized roofing tools.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 1 to 2+ years of hands-on experience installing residential architectural asphalt shingles.
- Fall Protection: Valid Fall Arrest / Fall Protection certification preferred (or willingness to complete training immediately).
- Physical Capability: Comfortable with heavy manual labor, repeatedly lifting shingle bundles (50–60 lbs), and working in variable weather conditions.
- Heights Comfort: Full confidence working safely on steep-slope and multi-story roofs using standard safety gear.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, safety-minded, clear-headed, and dedicated to getting the job done right the first time.
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
