Summary
The Canadian Head Office is in need of a Service Apprentice to assist with repairing and delivering hot tubs. This individual must have a hands on approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems and addressing Quality Control issues. We are looking for someone who has an interest in "how things work" with a mechanical aptitude for servicing hot tubs and fixing them.
This is an entry level position with capabilities to move onto the delivery and field service teams. The first 4 months will be in house training from our Oakville location where you will be assisting with hot tub repairs, hot tub deliveries, and basic warehouse work. Thorough safety training, electrical knowledge and diagnostic work will be taught. After the initial training they will be able to enter out full time into the field for better opportunities and further growth by obtaining more experience.
Responsibilities
- Repair and service in house hot tubs
- Support electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to aid in assembly and repairs
- Inspect and diagnose various product issues to determine where the fault lies
- Provide troubleshooting to Customer Care representatives to assist with customer issues
- Disassemble various spa components for inspection
- Assist with delivery of hot tubs to customer's backyards
- Provide warehouse functions where needed (picking product)
Qualifications
- Basic electrical experience or knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude or background
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable with daily email correspondences
- Punctual and attentive on a regular basis
- Ability to take direction
- Comfortable and capable with power and hand tools
- Experience with appliance repair or assembly is advantageous
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
