Custodial/Maintenance Support
9 weeks - Monday to Friday 30-37.5 hours/week; Wage $18.20/ hour
Starting week of June 16, 2025
BGC London (BGCL/ the “Club”) is looking for hardworking, mature individuals who have great communication skills along with a great attitude. This position is seasonal and the successful applicants will be responsible for maintenance and janitorial duties.
Responsibilities:
v Perform daily cleaning of all areas, including hallways, office, washrooms, pool change rooms and program areas
v General cleaning duties; sweeping, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize as required
v Maintain and inspect interior and exterior to ensure cleanliness and freedom from any hazards
v Prepare and set up rooms for activities and events
v Minor repairs
v Inspections of property, machinery and lighting
v Report any deficiencies.
v Seasonal maintenance duties
v Loading and unloading supplies and equipment
v Provide assistance to customers and other staff as required
v Other duties and projects as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
v Knowledge of general maintenance tasks including painting an asset
v Ability to work with a crew or independently
v Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
v Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks as required
v Ability to safely work with general and landscape maintenance equipment
v Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and clients
v Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high-quality standard of work
v Ability to prioritize and schedule work to meet demands
v Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station is required (if over age 18)
