Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Manager to oversee the daily operations of our camp program. The Camp Manager will play a crucial role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for all campers. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent guest service abilities, and a passion for working with children. The ideal candidate will manage staff, coordinate activities, and ensure all campers have a memorable experience NOTE: OUR PREFERENCE IS FOR A COUPLE TO FILL THIS POSITION, AND THE RATE OF PAY WOULD BE ADJUSTED BASED ON THAT INCLUSION.
Your tasks will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Be the day-to-day point of contact for visitors and residents and respond to their inquiries or complaints.
- Promote an environment that is safe, enjoyable and customer friendly.
- Enforce park rules and standards and ensure compliance with all laws.
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise staff as required, while ensuring budgets are followed, in addition to ensuring all safety requirements are in place and adhered to.
- Complete basic occupant account transactions and delinquency collection
- Clean resort facilities/grounds; maintain and operate infrastructures in safe and workable conditions, including water treatment system.
- Produce timely reports when requested.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is essential.
- Strong background in maintenance preferred
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A positive attitude, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to motivate others are crucial for success in this role.
Along with compensation, the successful candidate will be provided an RV site free of charge from April 1 - Oct 31 in order to bring their RV to the park, should they choose to do so; plus a double occupancy room in the resort lake house will be provided from Nov 1-March 31 annually free of rent (pay utilities only).
