Structural Designer
Our client is looking for a Structural Designer to join their team. This is a 1 year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating 3D models with SP3D based on engineers’ design sketches for steel structures, pile foundation, and buildings
- Creating 2D drawings from reference of the SP3D models
- Ensuring all drawings and materials are in accordance with client specifications and standards
- Assisting site during construction
- Reporting progress of work assignments to immediate supervisor
- Preparing as-built drawings based on field red-line markups
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience of design in the oil and gas industry
- Advanced computer skills and experience in major drafting and design software such as Auto CAD, CAD Worx, and SP3D
- Technical school certification / degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and piping
- Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail
Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
Experience:
- oil and gas design: 5 years (required)
- SmartPlant 3D: 2 years (required)
