Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team in the food industry. As a Chef, you will be responsible for meal preparation from off the menu as well as a nightly special prepared from scratch each day while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our kitchen. Plan and prepare nightly specials with input from management and other staff.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations - Food Safe Certified.
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
-Due to our small business, this job position is responsible for prep of food items as well as being the only cook on staff during meal times.
-Cleaning kitchen is required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
shifts are: Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-8pm
