Role Overview
- As part of the Supply Chain organization, the Demand Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the demand forecast (volume & value) at SKU level across the Foods CA Retail portfolio.
- This role plays a critical part in enabling business performance, as forecasts directly inform production planning, inventory investment, customer service, and financial outcomes.
- The Demand Planner operates at the intersection of Commercial, Finance, and Supply teams—translating market dynamics, customer insights, and operational realities into an actionable demand plan. The role requires strong operational leadership through weekly execution governance, ensuring sufficient supply, adherence to inventory norms, and proactive mitigation of risks and opportunities.
- The role is accountable for Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias as primary KPIs, while driving outcomes across inventory optimization, SMOG mitigation, and business waste reduction.
What You’ll Do
Demand Forecasting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain statistical baseline forecasts using historical data and trends
- Integrate commercial inputs (promotions, pricing, innovation, discontinuations)
- Analyze forecast accuracy and bias and implement improvement actions
- Continuously refine forecast assumptions using POS, shipment and market data
Operational Execution & Governance
- Lead weekly operational meetings to ensure sufficient supply and inventory norms
- Monitor in-month performance and take corrective actions
- Communicate risks and recovery plans clearly across teams
Import & Supply Complexity
- Manage demand planning for imported products with extended lead times and variability
- Collaborate with supply teams to balance service and inventory trade-offs
M&A & Integration
- Support integration of new product portfolios into planning processes
- Harmonize forecasting assumptions across legacy and new businesses
Inventory, SMOG & Waste
- Drive SMOG mitigation and inventory reduction initiatives
- Act as Business Waste Champion to reduce excess and obsolete stock
- Partner cross-functionally to improve inventory health and working capital

Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
- Demand Planning / Supply Chain experience
- Experience with imported products, M&A integration, and inventory reduction initiatives
Must Have:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in Supply Planning, Customer Service, Inventory Planning or Distribution Planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations / Supply Chain or equivalent experience
- Background in FMCG or similarly fast-moving, global organizations.
- Background in SAP and the ease of adopting new digital systems
- Basic knowledge of Import Export Process.
- Demand Analytics
- Experience in a manufacturing or a technical environment (FMCG).
- Previous SAP (S1P and APO) experience.
- PowerBI knowledge.
- Transformation and Project management experience & skills.
- Relevant previous experience in Supply Chain functions with experience in at least 2 areas from MSO/SU/Procurement/Logistics/Operations.
