Jiffy Auto Service is currently seeking a new full-time Lube/Tire Technician to join our staff at our Brockville, ON location.
Lube/Tire Technicians perform a variety of tasks to assist in the repair and maintenance of customer vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery. Lube/Tire Technicians may also perform car detailing functions as required. Lube/Tire Technicians hold a crucial position in our shop as they interact directly with our customers and can influence a customer’s impression of our business.
As a member of our staff the Lube/Tire Technician will assist shop technicians with minor repairs (as required), provide exceptional service to each and every customer, perform light shop maintenance duties and will also:
- Inspect, repair and replace tires
- Complete required paper work in an accurate, legible and timely manner
- Keep shop manager informed of any problems regarding the shop or customer related matters
- Maintain a well-organized and professional work area
- Work at our front counter
- Act as a delivery driver when needed
- Work outside (in various weather conditions)
- Complete other related duties as required
We are looking for a candidate that has exceptional customer service skills, is dedicated, passionate, in addition to:
- Possessing a Commercial Ontario wheel installers certificate
- Outstanding sales expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in auto service, tires and maintenance (an asset)
- Working knowledge of tires, tools and equipment
- Ability to demonstrate dexterity with hand tools
- Strong work ethic
- Confidence and aptitude to operate independently in a supervised capacity
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Adaptability and demonstrated readiness to succeed in assigned tasks
- Excellent time management skills
- Willingness to learn skills and gain new knowledge
- Comfortable performing heavy lifting
- Valid Driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
