Our Vancouver-based client is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to join a critical ERP modernization initiative. This consultant will play a key role in upgrading the organization's Dynamics AX 2012 environment to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, supporting development, integrations, data migration, and system optimization efforts.
While the role is open to remote candidates, preference will be given to consultants located in the Vancouver area.
Responsibilities
Lead development activities related to the migration from Dynamics AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 F& O
Refactor and modernize legacy AX 2012 customizations using the D365 extension-based framework
Design, develop, and execute data migration processes and validation activities
Build and support custom X++ solutions, integrations, workflows, and reports within D365 F& O
Develop and maintain integrations with external applications and data platforms using APIs and Azure services
Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and scalability
Partner with Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Support post-migration stabilization, issue resolution, and ongoing system enhancements
Work within an Agile delivery environment utilizing Azure DevOps and best development practices
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments
Strong hands-on development experience with X++
Experience participating in or leading AX 2012 to D365 F& O upgrade and migration projects
Deep understanding of the D365 F& O extension framework, data entities, and release management processes
Experience building integrations using OData, Data Management Framework (DMF/DIXF), REST APIs, Dual Write, or related technologies
Strong SQL Server and Azure SQL experience, including data migration and transformation activities
Experience working with Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD practices
Knowledge of core Finance and Supply Chain modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Inventory, and Warehouse Management
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with the ability to quickly identify configuration versus development-related issues
