Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Salon Cleaner & Maintenance Assistant to ensure our salon environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for clients and staff. This role involves performing cleaning tasks and basic facilities maintenance to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and appearance within our salon. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of salon areas, including treatment rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, furniture, and fixtures to ensure a hygienic environment
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and reporting larger issues
- Manage cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning products
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workspace
- Assist with setup and breakdown of salon stations for daily operations or special events
- Ensure all areas are sanitized according to industry standards and company policies
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting moderate loads, and climbing ladders if necessary
- Excellent time management skills to complete daily responsibilities within scheduled hours
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and addressing minor maintenance issues promptly
You must be fluent in English both spoken and written.
