Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, a strong understanding of schematics and blueprints, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on various electrical projects. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in manufacturing and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on projects that require technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Duties
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to install and repair electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage electrical systems across various settings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Conduct inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and comply with local codes.
- Assist with the installation of wiring, conduit, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Collaborate with construction teams or maintenance staff during project execution or repairs.
- Identify potential hazards or safety issues related to electrical systems and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman/woman license or certification.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical manuals related to electrical systems.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems including low voltage wiring and automation controls.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools like drills.
- Ability to interpret schematics for complex wiring diagrams and PLC programming logic.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for working with high voltage equipment in industrial settings.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting across different maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
