Job Title: Technologist (Part-Time) – Digital Cinematography
Department: School of Art and Design – Digital Cinematography Program
Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON
Status: Temporary Part-Time
Assignment dates: August 24 – December 18, 2026
Hours Per Week: Up to 24 hours
Pay Rate: $27.93/hour + 6% vacation pay

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Digital Cinematography, or a closely related field
- Minimum two (2) years’ industry experience preferred
- Ability to operate all program equipment
- Superior knowledge of film equipment and related technologies
- Understanding of filmmaking process from concept development to delivering the final product
- Working knowledge of various softwares (e.g., Davinici Resolve, Fairlight, Adobe Creative Cloud, Pro-Tools, Final Draft, Microsoft Office, D2L, Facilis)
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, learning, and student success, and ability to interact with faculty and students
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage competing priorities as well as meet multiple deadlines
- In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON
Responsibilities:
Support faculty and staff in the Digital Cinematography Program including but not limited to:
- In-class film shoots and learning experiences;
- Onsite camera setup, grip, electric and sound gear for demonstrative purposes;
- Guidance on proper on-set etiquette.
- Troubleshooting technical problems with cameras and electronic accessories;
- Provide procurement/purchasing support for faculty and the program;
- Assist and mentor third-year student Film Projects;
- Regularly meet with faculty members to discuss ongoing inter-program projects;
- Assist with reserving equipment & shooting locations;
- Assist students with preparation for proficiency tests.
- Other duties as assigned
