Pastry Cook / Baker - Westmoreland Location
Good Behaviour is looking for a Pastry Cook / Baker to join our team and support our ice cream and pastry production.
This role is for someone who cares about quality, consistency, and execution, and who enjoys working in a fast-moving production environment. We’re looking for someone with a solid pastry foundation, strong organizational habits, and the ability to help keep production focused, clean, and efficient. Beyond day-to-day prep, this role also requires someone who understands how to work thoughtfully within a system, follow standards closely, and contribute to a positive team environment.
What the role looks like
- Prepare ice cream bases, inclusions, baked components, and pastry elements with consistency and care
- Cook, pasteurize, and churn both classic and modern ice cream flavours
- Bake mix-ins and supporting components such as pie crusts, pastry creams, compotes, crumbs, cakes, and other inclusions
- Learn our cookie, sweet pie and ice cream sandwich program
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency in flavour, texture, and quality
- Properly incorporate inclusions to maintain product integrity
- Help maintain prep lists, production flow, and kitchen organization
- Keep your station and work areas clean, stocked, and production-ready
- Support strong standards in sanitation, food safety, and overall kitchen cleanliness
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen environment
What we’re looking for
- A solid foundation in pastry, baking, or dessert production
- Someone organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Good technical understanding of pastry fundamentals, recipe execution, and production systems
- A strong sense of pride in consistency, cleanliness, and quality
- The ability to stay focused, follow systems closely, and work well within a team
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- An understanding of the importance of efficiency, waste reduction, and consistent execution in a production kitchen
- At least 1 year of experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a similar role in a professional kitchen
