Location: Ponoka, AB
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30pm – 4:30pm
Almita Piling is looking for a Shop Labourer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position supporting the production of helical piles by assisting Welders and Operators, moving materials, maintaining shop flow, and helping ensure products are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist Welders and Operators with production activities
- Stage, move, and package materials and finished products
- Operate grinders and other shop tools
- Read work orders and apply product markings and labels
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
- Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Asset:
- Forklift certification
- Machine operating experience
- Overhead crane training
- Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment
- Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and material handling
- Exposure to noise and varying temperatures
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs
- PPE required at all times
