Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems efficiently and safely, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to renewable energy projects while working with a dynamic team dedicated to sustainable solutions. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, experience operating various hand tools and be comfortable working at heights and feel comfortable carrying 50 pounds +/- panels. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, racking systems, and electrical components according to project specifications and safety standards (mainly on rooftop residential sites around the GTA and sometimes surrounding areas)
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure solar components
- Perform electrical wiring, low voltage connections, and system testing to ensure proper functionality
- Conduct site assessments and prepare work areas for installation activities
- Follow all safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues during installation or commissioning phases
Experience
- Prior experience with electrical work, mechanical systems, roofing and/or solar installations is preferred
- Familiarity with low voltage, DC and AC wiring will be considered an asset
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools in construction or renewable energy projects
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites and electrical work

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
