Job Summary
SureStay Collection by Best Western is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Associate Maintenance team member to help ensure the hotel property, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained in excellent condition. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep while providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
- Inspect hotel facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Repair or replace fixtures, furniture, locks, doors, windows, and other hotel equipment as needed.
- Maintain swimming pool, grounds, parking areas, and landscaping (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Assist with room inspections to ensure all facilities are functioning properly.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when required.
- Support emergency response procedures and after-hours maintenance needs.
- Keep maintenance storage areas organized, clean, and properly stocked.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Any other tasks assigned by Management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous maintenance, facilities, hotel, or building maintenance experience is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evening shifts.
Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour
