Big Hearts Home Healthcare Services Inc. is currently seeking a caring, responsible, and committed Home Share Provider / Host Family in Vernon, BC to welcome and support an adult with diverse abilities in a safe, respectful, and inclusive home environment.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an individual, couple, or family who can provide:
- A safe, stable, clean, and welcoming home
- A private bedroom for the individual.
- Respect for the individual's privacy, dignity, rights, culture, and personal choices.
- Support with daily living and development of independence.
- Assistance with routines, meals, appointments, medication support where required, and other identified needs.
- Opportunities for meaningful community participation and social inclusion.
- Reliable communication and collaboration with Big Hearts, the individual's support network, and other professionals as appropriate.
- A long-term commitment to building a positive and supportive Home Share relationship.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, health care, community support, caregiving, social services, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants must be willing to complete the required screening and approval process, which may include:

✓ Home study and home safety assessment
✓ Interviews and compatibility/matching meetings
✓ Required documentation and training
✓ Ongoing monitoring and collaboration with Big Hearts
Previous Home Share experience is an asset but is not necessarily required. We are particularly interested in finding the right match and a genuinely supportive home environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $2,100.00-$3,000.00 per month
