Edmonton Based Architectural Millwork Shop requires an experienced Architectural Millwork installer helper.

We supply custom woodwork to schools, restaurants, retail, hospitals, airports and more.
Experience:
- Thorough cabinetmaking and installation experience
- Flexible mindset to either be installing at jobsites or working on an in-shop bench
- Both site and shop work pending current work-load
- Apprentice Cabinetmakers, Vocational Accreditation or equivalent experience
Languages:
- Fluently speak, read, and write English
Specific Tasks:
- The ability to communicate with lead site installer, foreman, shipper, and project management
- Processing of paperwork for millwork delivered and installed
- Care and attention to handle products with no damage or wear
- The ability to understand millwork shop drawings and installation of millwork
- Prepare and fabricate wood and wood products into architectural millwork
- Use of saws, sanders, fastening devices, adhesives, wood working equipment
- Interpret engineering and design drawings
- Laminate cabinet and furniture components, make jig templates, and process machined parts
- Service work at job sites, and correction of deficiencies
Additional Skills:
- Train and work with other personnel in a team environment
- Safety certifications, and willingness to obtain safety certificates related to specific job sites
- Help with other cabinetmakers
- Experience with Door hardware
- Experience with solid surface, laminates, and stone
- Interaction with cabinetmakers and management to solve problems
Knowledge Required:
- Minor computer skills for tracking software and Windows
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Understanding of Blueprints and shop drawings
- Safety awareness and ability to follow specific Safety Guidelines and site requirements
Work Conditions:
- Usually inside, fast paced, team environment
- Some exterior work
- Use of PPE such as steel toe boots, safety glasses, vest
Transportation:
- Provide own means to and from shop to work on time, use of shop trucks for installing
Wage range is $19.00 / hour to $22.00 / hour depending on Cabinetmaker Status and installation experience.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
