Glacier West Construction is looking for an Estimator to support both pre-construction estimating and project delivery coordination. This is a role ideal for someone early to mid career who wants exposure to the full project lifecycle, from pricing and proposal support through to construction execution and close out. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in preparing accurate estimates while also supporting active projects with cost tracking, documentation, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction Support
- Assist with preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and take-offs for industrial and commercial construction projects
- Support bid preparation, subcontractor solicitation, scope reviews, and bid comparisons
- Help analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing records, and historical cost information
- Participate in handover from estimating to project execution to ensure scope, assumptions, and pricing clarity
Project Coordination & Cost Control
- Support Project Managers with change order tracking, cost control, and progress payment applications
- Assist with procurement activities, including subcontractor evaluations, award recommendations, and documentation
- Track project budgets, commitments, and cost forecasts
- Help ensure alignment between estimate, contract scope, and field execution
Project Documentation & Execution Support
- Maintain organized project documentation (RFIs, shop drawings, QA/QC, NCRs, schedules, and reports)
- Support coordination of site resources, subcontractors, and consultants
- Prepare meeting minutes, action logs, schedules, and progress updates
- Assist with project close-out including as-builts, O&M manuals, deficiency tracking, and final documentation
Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing across multiple trades
- Estimating experience in industrial, commercial, or cold storage / food processing facilities is a strong asset
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through
- Comfortable working with estimating and project management software
- Experience or familiarity with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and control systems is an asset

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
