JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of and reporting to the Site Supervisor and Service Delivery Manager, the Corporate Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment within a busy corporate head office setting. This role places a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service, professionalism and discretion, while consistently enforcing corporate security policies and procedures.
The Corporate Security Guard serves as both a security professional and a frontline ambassador, supporting employees, executives, vendors and visitors while contributing to the protection of people, property and sensitive corporate assets.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
SCHEDULES:
Part Time - Sat & Sun 0700-1500
Part Time - Sat & Sun 14:30-22:30
Customer Service & Frontline Support
- Provide a service-first, concierge-style security presence within a corporate office environment
- Greet employees, visitors, vendors and executives in a professional, courteous and approachable manner
- Assist with visitor management and general inquiries while maintaining access control protocols
- Troubleshoot access card issues and provide timely, respectful assistance
- Communicate clearly and calmly with individuals at all levels of the organization
- De-escalate concerns or conflicts using tact, empathy and professionalism
Security Operations
- Monitor CCTV systems and access control alarms for interior and exterior areas
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, access issues and security concerns
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols, including office spaces, executive areas and parking facilities
- Perform focused inspections of restricted and higher-risk areas
- Identify, document and report safety hazards, security vulnerabilities and suspicious activity
- Review CCTV footage and access reports to identify irregular activity or policy violations
- Escalate incidents and concerns to supervisors and Service Delivery Manager as required
Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete clear, accurate and professional shift logs, patrol reports and incident reports
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information and internal matters
- Perform additional security-related or administrative duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – What you will bring?
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Minimum 2 years of security experience ideally in a corporate, commercial or high-profile environment
- Minimum 1 year of concierge
- Post secondary education in Law Enforcement or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Hold a valid Ontario G-class license with a clean abstract.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and professional security reports
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Proven ability to de-escalate situations calmly and professionally
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of discretion, reliability and professionalism
