Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Labourer to support daily operations on our agricultural site. The ideal candidate will assist with harvesting activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of farm operations. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the growth and productivity of our farm.
Duties
- Assist with irrigation setup, maintenance, and repairs to ensure proper water distribution across crops
- Perform horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and harvesting crops
- Operate hand tools and basic mechanical equipment for various farming activities
- Use gardening tools to maintain landscape aesthetics and crop health
- Carry out heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and harvested produce as needed
- Apply basic math skills for measuring and mixing fertilizers or chemicals accurately
- Support general farm maintenance including soil preparation and pest control measures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in horticulture or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and mechanical tools is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude toward teamwork and farm responsibilities
Pay: $18.25 per hour
