Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to creating polished interiors that transform construction projects into finished spaces ready for occupancy. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine drywall finishing specifications.
- Prepare drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture finishes to achieve a flawless appearance.
- Use hand tools such as knives, trowels, sanders, and taping tools to complete finishing tasks efficiently.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and sanding machines safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades to coordinate work and ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the process to identify imperfections and correct them promptly.
- Assist with related tasks such as caulking joints, installing corner beads, or preparing surfaces for painting or further finishing work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a strong understanding of the trade.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in drywall installation and finishing.
- Knowledge of construction materials including drywall compounds, tapes, primers, and textures.
- Familiarity with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or concrete finishing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving smooth surfaces and high-quality finishes.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights as needed in various environments.
