Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our in house Orthodontist in orthodontic treatment procedures, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering exceptional orthodontic services, primarily serving our pediatric and adult patients. We are primarily seeking an orthodontic assitant for 2 Fridays a month with the possibility of increasing days and hours as needed. The successful candidate will bring knowledge of orthodontics and strong orthodontic assisting skills.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment.
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations, adjustments, and procedures.
- Take intraoral scans and and digital radiographs as required.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices.
- Record patient information accurately in electronic health records using OpenDental systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Support our orthodontic patients by providing compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with orthodontic certification preferred.
- Experience working in orthodontics is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of terminology relevant to dental and orthodontic procedures.
- Strong understanding of orthodontic assisting techniques, including scanning, impression taking and appliance placement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
