Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring all food safety and handling standards are met.

- Evening closing shifts required (until 10:00 PM)
- Minimum shift length: 3 hours per shift
- Must be available for closing responsibilities, including cleanup and closing duties
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety standards
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Food preparation including assembling food items and maintaining quality standards
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Experience in the food industry or food service environment is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
