HEAD CHEF – ASIAN FUSION / HOT KITCHEN
Yakimono is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our hot kitchen and meat program.
We are an established Asian fusion restaurant in Montreal with a dedicated sushi team already in place. We are looking for a chef who can take ownership of the hot kitchen, lead a team, develop dishes, maintain high standards, and help elevate the restaurant to the next level.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage all hot kitchen operations Develop and execute high-quality Asian fusion dishes Create and refine menu items Manage food costing, inventory, and purchasing Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards Ensure efficient kitchen operations during high-volume service
Requirements: Previous experience as a Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Sous Chef Strong leadership and kitchen management skills Experience with Asian, Asian fusion, Japanese, Korean, or related cuisines Strong knowledge of meat, grilling, sauces, and hot kitchen execution Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Passion for creativity, quality, and hospitality
