Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality setting, contributing to exceptional guest experiences through diligent custodial and cleaning duties. Prior hotel experience or custodial background is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in public areas, guest corridors, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces and guest amenities as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and other common areas
- Restock supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning materials in designated areas
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Support housekeeping staff with additional cleaning tasks during busy periods or special events
- Follow all safety procedures and adhere to health standards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial services, or industrial cleaning is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Hospitality or custodial experience is considered a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude toward guest service and teamwork
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) required.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, team members, and management in a hospitality environment.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
