Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensuring you are adhering to the regulations of the Child Care Licencing Act at all times
Creating lesson plans based on the children's interests in addition to our in house curriculum
Cleaning of classroom at end of shift
Greeting and assisting parents
Maintaining records in accordance to the Child Care Licencing Act
Checking staff communication book before every shift
Communicating and interacting positively with parents, coworkers, the children and owners.
Communicating any concerns or issues to the DIRECTOR or Owner immediately
Changing themes and boards, Special Event planning
KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE
Other duties upon request
Requirements:
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to keep children engaged
Experience with Emergent Curriculum
Current CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain)
Current police clearance with vulnerable sector (or willing to obtain)
Good organizational skills and communication (Oral and written)
Must have ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel
Must be able to create planned daily program and activities
Must be able to keep classroom clean and tidy
Must be able to maintain proper documentation, log books and staff communication books
Must be able to communicate and interact positively with parents, co-workers and the children
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
