We are recruiting for a Community Participation Support Worker- Full Time - Temporary - up to 6 months (with the possibility of an extension) - 75 hours per pay period (bi-weekly). You will perform a lead role in the provision of services and supports consistent with person directed plans and in identifying the needs of individuals supported. You will provide effective individual and group supports reflective of the needs, desires and interests of individuals receiving services. Promote and facilitate community participation, involvement and experiences .
Qualifications:
- D.S.W. preferred /Community College Diploma/University Degree in Human Services
- Minimum of two years related work experience supporting individuals with a developmental disability
- First Aid, CPR, SMG, Pharmacology (or willing to obtain)
- Proven interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with other staff, professional support services and members of the community
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance is required
- Good attendance and performance record
- Must be able to provide a clear vulnerable sector police check
