Job Summary
Looking for a carpentry job with independence? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our construction team! We are a small but quickly growing construction company in the Prince George area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, concrete work, and general construction practices. Most jobs will be on your own paired with one other labourer/apprentice.
Duties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and effectively
- Use hand tools for framing, siding installation, woodworking, and other carpentry tasks
- Assist with restoration projects, including siding replacement and structural repairs
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement to support project progress
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with skills in carpentry, concrete work, and restoration
- Red Seal Certification is preferred, may consider someone working towards their certification depending on experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with concrete finishing and siding installation is preferred
